I just got off the phone with one of my one-to-one clients.
I want to talk about why you may need a Facebook page. If you’re wondering about if you need a Facebook page, let me just tell you one quick thing.
I just googled how many users are on Facebook. There are 1.09 billion daily active users -- so that’s not users -- that’s active users. The population of the whole of the world is about 7 billion. So, yeah of course you do. Of course you need a Facebook page, even if have a website, because the point is most of the world is on Facebook now; they’re not on your website are they?
So if you’re doing this right, after a while you build a little Facebook community because people are already there, then Facebook acts as a train over to [over to] your website. If you don’t have a website yet, that’s ok because you can just build your following on Facebook.
The way you’re going to do that is you are going to just post stuff that’s useful and interesting to people who are your ideal customers. Your ideal customers are people that need what you’ve got. So, it’s as simple as that.
If you write songs, or if you play, or if you’re looking for sessions whatever there’s always a unique angle, [so again, going back to what I was saying yesterday] don’t start talking about what other people who you know have done. Just talk about what you’re doing in a helpful way and build up a little bit of action on your Facebook page. Be useful, be helpful, be funny, be interesting, ask questions, and eventually they’ll go to your website. They’ll learn a little bit mor about you and ultimately book you or contact you, or whatever it is that you want them to do.
